Abstract
162,980. Hamlyn, S. W. July 27, 1920. Supporting, -For mounting an electric lamp bulb in the socket of a candle sconce, a tubular support a screwed at the top to take the usual lampholder is provided at its bottom with two sets of spring-fingers g which may be expanded to grip the internal surface of the socket. The spring-fingers are mounted on two discs e, f, having respectively right and left hand screw - threads which engage w i t h corresponding screwed portions b, c of the support a, so that by rotating the support the two discs may be moved towards each other, thus causing the spring fingers g which ride over a loose disc d to be expanded so as to grip the internal surface of the socket.
