Abstract

162,815. Dyson, A. Feb. 9, 1920. Bottles, cleaning.-Machines in which the bottle while revolved by a friction roller is brushed internally and externally are given, (1) improved adjusting-means for the external brush and friction-roller and, (2) a spring-clutch for holding the internal brush. The external brush b and friction-roller i are mounted on pivoted arms n held in brackets o<1> on the base of the machine, rigid adjustment of the brush being effected by a screw g and nut p, while an additional spring r renders the roller adjustment resilient. The internal brush a is held in a clutch with spring jaws d<1> having grooves g to receive the brush stem, in order to allow of easy withdrawal and slipping should the brush jam.
