Abstract
159,558. Willis, P. R. J., (Long, U. 0.). Nov. 18, 1919. Spikes, serrated. - Rails are secured to metal supports of concrete sleepers by serrated spikes 27 and wedges 25 which bed against resilient strips 28 of soft metal, hard wood, &c., the spikes being grooved to receive lead 29 to prevent entry of moisture. At rail joints one fish plate 32 is formed integral with its spike.
