Abstract
157,810. Dingler'sche Maschinenfabrik Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Grosse, C.). Sept. 1, 1913, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Filtering.-A portion of the gas or vapour which has passed through a filter is cooled to remove moisture and reheated, and is either returned directly to be mixed with the supply of gas to be filtered or is passed first through the filter in counter current and clean it. In the apparatus shown, gas from a pipe w passes through a filter b, cooler d, fan f, and water separator g, and is delivered to a supply pipe h. A fan k draws a portion of the purified gas from this pipe and forces it through a heater l, whence it may be delivered by a pipe m to mix with the gas in the pipe w, or by a pipe o to clean the filter. A cooler p may assist or replace the cooler d. The conveyer and duct by which the separated dust is removed may be provided with a heating jacket.
