Abstract

156,676. Landry, J. E. Aug. 30, 1916, [Convention date]. Brakes, arrangement and disposition of; controlling-apparatus, arrangements of foot and transmission gear in conjunction with; flexible transmitters.-The brakes on the steering and driving wheels are operated by cables, one on each side connecting the front and rear brakes, through an equalizer by which each may become tight independently, the cables being simultaneously actuated through an equalizing device. The cables 15 pass over grooved members 16 mounted on separate shafts 17, 18 fitted with arms 17<1>, 18<1> which are connected by an equalizing lever 26 operated from a pedal 23. The inner ends of the shafts 17, 18 are carried in a bracket 19.
