Abstract

The gripping sleeve of a technical handpiece for dental purposes comprises two elongate portions (9, 10) having a polygonal cross-section, one of these portions (10) having a cross-section which continously widens from the end (3) facing away from the tool-side end, and the other portion (9) being a portion which adjoins the other and whose cross-section tapers continously. Such a gripping sleeve provides good safety against twisting and unintentional, axial displacement of the technical handpiece in the hands of the user. <IMAGE>
