Abstract

A main conductor (1) is surrounded by insulation (2) made of plastic, for example. Its surface is provided with a semiconducting layer (3). One or more additional conductors (4) which are in contact with the semiconducting layer (3) and are pressed by the elastic sheathing (5) against this layer (3) run parallel to the cable axis. Due to this parallel arrangement and pressure, stranding of the additional conductor (4) is superfluous, thereby reducing the number of operational steps. <IMAGE>
