Abstract
The AC audio-frequency signalling method with a large switching signal stock is used for the connection traffic between primary systems and dial-up secondary systems in telephone networks, the individual switching signals being composed of primary signals (HK1...HK4) and secondary signals (NK1...NK1''') and the primary signals (HK1...HK4) and secondary signals (NK1...NK1''') being able to be distinguished from one another by different frequencies and to have individually different lengths. The purpose of the method is to safeguard through-connection for a specific transmission direction when switching signals from different directions collide and interfere with one another. This is achieved through repetition of a secondary signal transmitted between two primary signals. <IMAGE>
