154,761. Dowsett, F. J. Oct. 14, 1919. Folding and collapsible vehicles. -Relates to additional folding seats for attachment to folding perambulators. The seat frame, which is provided with a padded seat 8, has side members 3 downwardly curved at the rear for pivotal connexion with the bars 19 on the perambulator frame, the side members being pivotally mounted on a transverse rod 6 which connects the side members of the back rest 1. The seat and back rest frames are connected by jointed stays 4. The foot rest 25 is carried by the lower bent ends of bars 9, the upper bent ends of which are connected by a cross-rod 11 engaging slots 13 in the side bars of the seat frame. In the unfolded position, the rod 11 rests in notches 12 in the forward ends of the slots 13 and the upper ends of the bars 9 engage under stops 14. In the folded position, the rod occupies the ends 23 of the slots and the upper ends of the bars 9 bear against stops 24. The seat is connected at its rear end to the perambulator frame by curved connecting- bars 19 which are formed with a supporting tongue 21. The front of the seat is supported by legs 15 pivoted to the seat frame and detachably connected at their lower ends to the perambulator frame. The additional seat folds into the body of the perambulator and does not interfere with the folding of the perambulator frame.
