Controlling-levers associated with hand steering- devices; setting and retaining devices for controlling-apparatus. - Each of the control levers mounted on the steering-column is steadied and retained in any set position by a separate frictional spring, and the central control rod passing through the steering column forms part of an electrical circuit for the horn, ignition, or the like. The control levers c, d, work through slots in a fixed casing a, and engage slots b<1> in springs b, Fig. 4, which bind against the casing and hold the levers in their set positions. The central control rod f is insulated from its lever c and the other parts by bushes g, i, and is connected to a cable k which may be earthed to complete the circuit by a spring button l making contact with the end of the rod.
