Abstract

Dyeing-stable modifications of mixed dyes obtained by mixed coupling are prepared by coupling diazotised 2-cyano-4-nitroaniline with a mixture of the azo components N-n-butyl-N-cyanoethylaniline (A) and N-ethyl-N-cyanoethylaniline (B) in a molar ratio of from 50 : 50 to 20 : 80 of A : B. The mixed dyes obtained are aftertreated by a) heating them in aqueous suspension to temperatures between 90 and 150 DEG C, b) heating them in organic solvents to temperatures between 90 and 150 DEG C, or c) grinding them in the presence of a dispersant at temperatures between 90 and 100 DEG C, or d) drying them in the water-moist state at temperatures between 100 and 120 DEG C. The dyeing-stable modifications are suitable for dyeing fibre materials from cellulose esters or synthetic linear polyesters at temperatures between 100 and 220 DEG C.
