Abstract

After 5-nitro-2-chlorobenzoic acid has been converted to 5-nitro-2-propargyloxy-N-n-butylbenzamide, the latter product is subjected to the action of a reducing agent to produce 5-amino-2-propargyloxy-N-n-butylbenzamide. This benzamide has antiinflammatory, analgesic and muscle-relaxing properties.
