Abstract
In the case of this antenna system, the resistance wires (12) of a window heating system (11) are used as an antenna. This allows broadcast-radio reception in the long-waveband (150-275 kHz) in addition to the medium-waveband and short-waveband. For this purpose, the RF inductor coil (31), which is connected between the vehicle battery (17) and the resistance wires (12), has a magnetic core which is composed of two different cores (311, 312). The two cores have different losses in the long-waveband, with the aim of better suppressing interference in the long-waveband. One (311) of the magnetic cores is of a type having low losses, while the other core (312) has relatively large losses in the long-waveband. As a result of this construction of the RF inductor coil (31), the losses are at a maximum in the long-waveband, while the induction value does not change. This results from the fact that the characteristic of the frequency/antenna gain has a flat response in the long-waveband when the Q value of the resonant circuit formed from the antenna capacitance and the induction of the RF induction coil is reduced. <IMAGE>
