Abstract

1536924 Cranes M I BLATCHFORD 27 Jan 1977 [9 Feb 1976] 04936/76 Heading B8B [Also in Division F2] An extension 12 of a bolster 10 along which a crane pillar is movable (see Specification 1,512,633) is swingable through 130-150 degrees about a hinge pin 58 between a raised inoperative position (full lines) and a lowered operative position (chain-dotted lines) by an hydraulic ram 50 mounted on the extension 12 and whose piston rod 52 is pivotally connected to a link 53 pivotally connected at 54 to the bolster, the pivot between the rod 52 and link 53 being guided, e.g. by rollers 56, so as to maintain the line of thrust of the ram offset from the hinge pin 58.
