Abstract

1536836 Pipe cleaning device ROWO ROHRWOLF PRODUKTIONS-AG U CO VERTRIEBS-KG 1 April 1977 [1 April 1976] 13967/77 Heading F2W A pipe cleaning device wherein a wire coil or snake 12 fed from a drum 9 is rotated via a drive unit 1 through a hollow drive shaft 10 thereof includes clutch means operative to selectively couple the shaft and coil or disconnect same for advancement of the coil through the shaft. Preferably the clutch means comprises a three-jawed chuck 39 and urged radially into engagement with the coil by axially moving engaging means (17, 32, 13) upon operation of a handle lever, which operation is simultaneously effective in releasing via cable means 28 a brake shoe 51 to allow rotation of drum 9.
