Abstract

1536014 Elevators BIERRUM & PARTNERS Ltd 17 May 1977 [20 Feb 1976] 06741/76 Heading B8L [Also in Division El] A scaffolding framework 7 is supported for vertical movement on a structure A by means of elongate carrier members 5 slidably mounted in elongate guide members 4, the guide members being supported for sliding movement in vertically spaced apart brackets 1, 2 and 3. The brackets include means (13) for supporting a guide member or carrier member by engaging a projection (22), (23) thereof (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown). In operation the framework is raised by retraction of a double-acting ram 6, con- nected between the top of the guide member and bottom of the carrier member, until projection (23) of the carrier member engages bracket 2. With the framework now supported via bracket 2 the ram is extended to lift the guide member 4 until it engages bracket 1 which has meanwhile been repositioned above bracket 3 (see Figs. 7 and 8, not reproduced). For use on non-vertical structures leg 38 is of adjustable length and working platforms 30-33 pivotably attached to members 37. Shuttering.-Shuttering 34 is supported by cables 35 attached to counterweights 36 located within tubular members 37 of the scaffolding framework.
