1535907 Phase shifters MASCHINENFABRIK REINHAUSEN Gebr SCHEUBECK GmbH & CO KG 7 July 1977 [9 July 1976] 28478/77 Addition to 1536022 Heading H2F In a voltage regulator, associated with a tapped transformer connected to a power transmission line, comprising the network of the parent Specification 1,536,022 replicating inphase and quadrature components of the voltage drop in the transmission line which appear between two respective output terminals 161, 121 and a reference line 71, the in-phase component is connected across a first potentiometer 30 and the quadrature component is connected across a second potentiometer 31, the sliders of these two potentiometers being connected to one input terminal 37 of a summation amplifier 38 whose ether input terminal 36 is connected to the reference line 71 so that the two replicated components appear in vectorially correct: summation at the output 39 of the amplifier as a compensating voltage U K . A feedback path 46 is provided between the output and one input 37 of the summation amplifier. A voltage transformer 41 may be provided whose secondary is connected to the one input 37 of the summation amplifier and whose primary is fed from the voltage to be regulated, Fig. 2, not shown.
