Abstract
1535802 Separating metal carbonyls from gas mixtures INCO Ltd 15 March 1976 [18 March 1975] 10211/76 Heading B1L [Also in Division C1] Nickel and/or iron carbonyl is removed from a gas mixture containing the carbonyl vapour and one or both of nitrogen and carbon monoxide, with or without carbon dioxide, by passing the mixture through a bed of activated alumina at room temperature or below to adsorb the carbonyl and some of the carbon dioxide, then passing carbon monoxide through the bed at a temperature of 55 to 105C to desorb the carbonyl and carbon dioxide into the carbon monoxide.
