Abstract

When a warp-knitting machine is put into operation, shortly before the machine is started up the already pretensioned warp threads (18) are subjected to an additional force, in order to avoid differing stitch sizes in the fabric. For this purpose, the warp-knitting machine is provided with a servomotor (1) for actuating thread-deflecting rockers (14), via which the additional force is applied to the warp threads. The servomotor is put into operation, together with the main drive motor of the knitting machine, via a circuit closer (7) actuable by hand and drives a control device containing cam discs (3, 4, 5), one of the cam discs being intended respectively for actuating the said thread-deflecting rockers, the circuit closer of the main drive motor and the circuit breaker (9) of the servomotor. The application and cancellation of the additional force are fixed relative to the switch-on time of the machine by adjusting the cam discs. <IMAGE>
