1532007 Steam stripper M LEVA 19 Nov 1975 47577/75 Heading B1R [Also in Division C5] A steam stripper comprises a chamber 1 containing a plurality of vertically stacked, parallely disposed, horizontal plates 6, each plate having a plurality of apertures therein and associated with each aperture a downwardly flared, truncated cone-shaped chimney 6a down which the liquid to be stripped flows from a film 6b on each plate and up which steam passes, the top of the plates and apertures being free from projections, an outlet 4 for volatiles and steam inlets 2, 2a and 2b.
