1531421 Silo G A EVANS and M J PEARCE [trading as EVANS & PEARCE] 5 Jan 1976 [22 Jan 1975] 2812/75 Heading F4G A silo for crops or feedstuffs has a fan for drawing air through the material in the silo from an inlet near the roof to an outlet at the bottom, the roof having an external surface which absorbs solar radiation, being, e.g., painted black. Electric heaters, which may be operated by a light-sensitive cell and/or a humidity sensor and/or a temperature sensor, may be located beneath the roof, and the cell and/or the sensors may operate the fan instead of, or as well as, the heaters.
