1531135 Testing sheet material DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 12 Aug 1976 [28 Aug 1975] 35593/75 Heading G1S Sheet material is welded or otherwise joined to form a plain ring or a Mobius ring and is then passed around and loaded by a pair of smooth or roughened driving and driven pulleys. The belt may also be loaded by jockey pulleys or by braking or otherwise adding resistance to the driven pulley or by biasing the pulleys apart, and the material is subjected to combined tension and torsion loads.
