Securing single tiles to surfaces.-Enamelled or otherwise decorated sheet-metal facing tiles of the kind having a marginal flange turned backwardly from the face, are secured to the backing by means of a securing-member c passing through a perforation b in the face of the tile and through a spacing-member e. The marginal flanges a<1> may be bent backwardly at a right angle or at an acute angle, and the interior space may be filled with heat-insulating material. If desired, when the tiles are used for stoves, apertures f may be provided in the marginal flanges a' for air circulation.
