Abstract

1529670 Swimming pool covers &c H SALA and M T SALA 24 June 1977 [7 July 1976] 26517/77 Heading A4N [Also in Division B8] A winch for winding up a pool cover comprises a pair of supports 2 located adjacent one end of the pool, each support having an upwardly open stirrup 5 on each branch of which is mounted a roller 8 having a horizontal spindle 7, a cylinder 9 resting near its ends on the two pairs of rollers and being provided with driving means such as a handle, and elastic cords each having at each end a rigid T-shaped member suitable for engaging a hole in the cylinder or the cover. Each end of the cylinder has a bearing groove for the rollers and the cylinder may be constituted by a plurality of sections, adjacent ends of which are threaded together.
