Abstract

In the case of a suspension member having an anchor bolt (1) which can be fixed in a bore, the anchor bolt (1) has a shank part and an expansion wedge (4) which is longitudinally displaceable thereon. A helical spring (5) supported on the anchor bolt (1) is locked in the prestressed position by means of a fixing lug (9) when the expansion wedge (4) has been drawn back. Once the shank part, with drawn-back expansion wedge (4), has been inserted into a mounting bore, the fixing lug (9) only has to be manually displaced, transversely to the longitudinal expanse of the anchor bolt (1), into a release position in order to permit the helical spring (5), in the longitudinal direction of the anchor bolt (1), to act against a stop (6) at the rear end of the expansion wedge (4) and to drive the latter forwards so as to wedge the anchor bolt (1) in the mounting bore. The suspension member is provided, in particular, for suspended ceilings. <IMAGE>
