Abstract

1529312 Fertilizer pellets coated with sulphur and an amine BASF AG 22 Oct 1975 [31 Oct 1974] 43297/75 Heading C1B Sulphur coated fertilizer pellets are coated with one or more amines R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>NH where R' is H or C 16-22 alkyl and R<SP>2</SP> is C 16-22 alkyl. Preferably 5-50 weight per cent S and 0À5-10 weight per cent amine are used, based on the weight of fertilizer. The preferred amine is stearyl amine and the preferred fertilizer is urea. The amine coating may be achieved by spraying at 50‹-90‹ C. into the moving pellets.
