1528361 Indexing flash-cube sockets KODAK Ltd 13 Feb 1976 [13 Feb 1975] 6175/75 Heading G2A A flash-cube socket is indexed by a sliding member tensioned when the film transport means is operated, so that the socket is indexed when the film transport means returns to its rest position. As shown, the film transport is operated by a slider 1, moving in direction A against a spring 7. A drive arm 2, pivoted at 2c, has a pin 2a at one end engaging in a slot 1a in slider 1. A further sliding member 3, biased by a spring 8, has faces 3a, 3b which engage with pins 6b, 6a respectively on the flashcube socket 6. When slider 1 is moved in direction A, drive arm 2 pivots clockwise. An extension 2b of arm 2 engages a lug 3d of member 3, sliding it to the right and so tensioning spring 8. Also, face 3b, sliding against pin 6a, causes member 3 to move away from the socket. When slider 1 is released, and is returned to its rest position by spring 7, spring 8 draws member 3 to the left again, so that face 3a of member 3 engages pin 6a, and so rotates the socket. When no flash-cube is in the socket, a door 4 may be closed, which disengages member 3 from drive arm 2, so that movement of slider 1 does not rotate the socket.
