Abstract

1527944 Container traffic loading station DOBSON PARK ENG Ltd 2 June 1977 [11 March 1976] 09662/76 Heading B8Q A station for unloading containers from a vehicle or loading them thereon comprises fixed rails 18, 19 between which a vehicle can be driven and movable members 16, 17 parallel thereto and actuated by rams 34. The framework 40 of a container or other body has extendable members 43, 44 at its side which are engaged by the members 16, 17 to lift the container from a vehicle and after it has driven away to lower the container on to the fixed rails 18, 19. Ramp surfaces, 46, 47 correctly position the frame 40 on the members 16, 17 while locating devices 21 ensure correct positioning on the rails 18, 19. A reverse cycle allows a container to be loaded on to a vehicle.
