1527056 Valves; seals FLEXIBOX Ltd 19 May 1977 [30 June 1976] 27742/76 Headings F2V and F2B The differential-area spool 31 of a fluid actuated valve has a first drilling 34, 35 which, in the position of the spool, connects the end chambers 32, 33 of the valve housing, and a second drilling 37, 38 which, in a second position of the spool, connects the chamber 33 with a vent 40. The valve is coupled between primary and secondary fluid seals 11, 12, each of which comprises a circulatory fluid system, the valve serving to maintain a desired pressure difference between the two systems. Rotatable seal rings 17, 18 effect circulation in the systems.
