INDUSTRIE A ZANUSSI SpA 29 April 1977 [12 May 1976] 18130/77 Heading H4J A filter circuit for dividing an electrical signal into a plurality of complementary frequency bands comprises a corresponding plurality of band-pass sections one of which produces its output by the algebraic subtraction of the output or outputs from the or each other section from the said electrical signal. As shown signals for a mid-range speaker 10 are derived by substraction from the total signal input 3 of signals 6 and 7 fed to speakers 8 and 9 by low and high pass filters 4 and 5 respectively.
