Abstract
1526472 Framework for printed circuit boards LA TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE 19 March 1976 [19 March 1975] 11137/76 Heading H1R A chassis for retaining a printed circuit board comprises parallel sidewalls conjoined by upper parallel cross members 2, 3 and lower cross members (not shown) the cross members retaining metal support members, e.g. 4 each of which carries lateral metal lugs, e.g. 6, guiding and retaining the edges of printed circuit boards 5. The ends of the support members are tapered at 8, 11 grooves at 9, 12 proximate to a shoulder 10 symmetrically about the support member axis. The cross members 2, 3 are of metal and are shaped to form a U-clamp with parallel arms 13, 14 beaded at 15, 16 to engage grooves 9, 12, while the arms are resiliently connected by walls 18 and base 17 to define a cylindrical channel 19 secured to the side walls by screws. Base 17 has openings 21 housing retaining extensions of the support member, which may be pressure moulded while the cross members may be extruded. Channels 19 are also usable, e.g. to support a wall 23 defining the base of the chassis and carrying connectors 26 for the printed circuits.
