1524809 Sintered piston ring carrier BRICO ENG Ltd 1 Sept 1975 [11 Sept 1974] 14543/78 Divided out of 1519589 Heading C7D A piston ring carrier in which Al or an Al alloy can be cast to form a piston for an internal combustion engine, comprises a sintered austenitic ferrous alloy containing Cr and Ni which has been infiltrated with Cu or a Cu base alloy during or after sintering. The preferred alloy contains 10-30% Cr, 6-40% Ni, 0-2% Mn, 0-3% Si, 0-4% Mo and 0-0À2% C.
