Abstract

1524712 Colouring protein fibres COOPERATIVE CONDENS FABRIEK FRIESLAND and P C B ROBERTS 18 March 1976 [18 March 1975] 11201/75 Heading B5B [Also in I Division C3] Spun protein fibres coloured with haem protein are prepared by wet spinning a solution of the protein containing the haem protein. The. spinning solution may also contain an alkali metal nitrite and/or ascorbic acid erythorbic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof. The protein may be vegetable, e.g. soya or ground nut, protein, bacterial or fungal protein or animal, e.g. casein, protein. The haem protein may be haemoglobin in the form of blood or the erythrocytic fraction of separated blood or myoglobin.
