Abstract

1524494 Paper-roll holders and dispensers READ MFG CO (LONDON) Ltd 3 Mareh 1977 09077/77 Heading B8M An accessory for supplying paper to a "telex" machine (and, optionally, receiving and storing used paper therefrom) to enable lengthy uninterrupted operation thereof comprises a housing 10 (perhaps of translucent plastics material) separate from but near, e.g. mounted on an adjoining wall, the machine, wherein are supported two large superposed rolls of paper 26 and 27, which are not otherwise capable of being accommodated within the body of the machine. As shown, side-walls 11 comprise slots 12, 13, and stiffening ribs 15 whereby support shafts, as at 25 are located. In operation, paper from the rolls are fed around a vertically adjustable roller or bar guide 22, through an opening in the base of the housing, thence to the machine and the paper being returned, usually the carbon paper, is wound, as by hand crank 18 on to rimmed roller 17 to provide a record of messages passed through the machine.
