Abstract

1522872 Rotating disc electrodes NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 25 April 1977 [9 Feb 1976] 04939/76 Heading C7B An electro-chemical cell comprises substantially parallel disc-shaped electrodes axially spaced from each other by an "operational spacing", the discs being connected for common rotation about the common central axis, one of the discs having a central opening through which electrolyte is introduced to the space between the discs. The term ''operational spacing" is defined as that spacing at which for a given diameter of disc and speed of rotation, the radial velocity of the solution is highest near the discs and passes a minimum midway between the discs.
