Abstract

1522266 Turning and combining stacks WINDMÍLLER & HÍLSCHER 28 June 1976 [23 July 1975] 26852/76 Heading B8R Stacks 8, moved to the illustrated position by arm 2, clamped between arms 12, 13, Fig. 2, on a carriage, the arms incorporating rotatable plates 24, 26 and drive means 28 to turn alternate stacks through 90 degrees in opposite senses in the sheet plane, a motor 32 being actuated simultaneously to move the stacks along plate 11 to a rake-like stop 34. After unclamping, an intercalated pusher 35 moves to raise the stacks to stations 4, 5 where they are combined and packaged. The stacks are formed against the arm 2 which strips bags from a cylinder 1 fed from a bag-making machine.
