152,195. Jenkins, F. Sept. 30, 1919. Boat-disengaging gear. - A boat-disengaging gear has a frame A provided with aT-shaped tumbler B, the leg B<1> of which engages with a link &c. C of the raising-tackle. A lever D has a projection d passing through the frame to receive the leg B<1> in a slot d<3>, which is such that when the lever D is vertical the tumbler is held, but when horizontal the tumbler disengages from the link C. A rod F connects the levers D of the stem and stern gears, and rods F' enable the device to be operated from either end of the boat. A pin d<1> secures the lever D in the vertical position when required. A shackle G takes the boat chains g, and eye-bolts J may take steadying- chains K.
