1521469 Aerating and circulating liquids J P MORAN L J MORAN G J CONNOR S A CONNOR and D A MOCKETT 9 Oct 1975 [11 Oct 1974] 44166/74 Heading B1C An areating plant for e.g. sewage includes a submerged pump 15 having a liquid inlet through a screen 40, an air inlet pipe 17, and an outlet 18 for the air/liquid mixture terminating in a T-piece 41 of which one leg is directed towards the screen. The pump is a centrifugal pump (see Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) in which the liquid inlet terminates in a sleeve (27) surrounded by an annular chamber (26) into which air is induced by the action of the pump rotor.
