Abstract
1521110 Isotope separation KRAFTWERK UNION AG 24 Oct 1975 [4 Nov 1974] 43939/75 Heading G6P In the separation of isotopes in which a mixture is subjected to selective excitation by infrared lasers, the mixture is treated to increase the number of excited molecules at the band edge of the infra-red absorption spectrum, and then irradiated with laser frequencies in the vicinity of this band edge. The mixture, for example a mixture of 235UF 6 and 238UF 6 , may be treated by heating to at least 400 K. or by microwave radiation.
