Abstract

1520468 Heat fusing apparatus XEROX CORP 13 Oct 1975 [25 Nov 1974] 41828/75 Heading B6C The apparatus is of the kind wherein an unfixed toner image bearing side of a copy sheet is contacted by a heated first roll while passing through the nip between said first roll and a co-operating second roll having a resilient surface. The first roll has a longitudinal crosssection shape with a maximum diameter at the ends, a minimum diameter at the centre, and is formed with a double taper extending inwardly towards a cylindrical central portion. The apparatus is used with copier/duplicator machines capable of simplex and duplex operation wherein copy sheets make two passes through processing stations.
