Abstract
1520404 Multi-colour development XEROX CORP 29 Sept 1975 39731/75 Heading G2C An electrostatic charge pattern having areas of relatively higher and lower charge is developed in more than one colour by successive development with two (or more) liquid developers of different colour, e.g. black and red, the first and the (or each) subsequent developer having a development threshold allowing it to develop the areas of higher and lower charge respectively and the (or each) subsequent developer having a viscosity of not more than 20% of that of the next previously applied liquid developer. The desired development threshold of a liquid developer may be achieved by adjusting its viscosity or by electrical biasing.
