Abstract

1520021 Handles HEALEY MOULDINGS Ltd 16 June 1976 [8 April 1975] 14309/75 Heading A4A A fitting for securing a handle 10 to, for example, a saucepan comprises a spring member 12 having a base portion 19 to be attached to the handle and two spring limbs 20 which initially converge 21 and then diverge 22 to free ends 15, the limbs 20 each having a projection 23 directed back towards the base portion 19 such that the spring member 12 may be pressed over an attachment 18 welded to the saucepan and an apertured plate member 13 loosely positioned around the attachment passes over the limbs 20 and locks the spring member and attachment 18 together. As described, the projections 23 have optional turned-in ends 25 and both the attachment 18 and the plate member 13 have, Fig. 3 (not shown) spacing flanges 26 which bear against the saucepan. A ferrule 16 covers the fitting and abuts against a shoulder 17 on the synthetic plastics handle.
