Abstract

1519274 Selective printing NCR CORP 7 Feb 1977 [28 Feb 1976] 04890/77 Heading B6F [Also in Division G3] Movement of a print head 1 to maintain a constant distance from the recording material 2 is caused by servomotor 4 operating under the control of the output of a Hall generator 6, the said output being dependent on the relative position of a feeler 8 to the print head 1. The feeler 8 is a pivot arm urged by spring 10 towards the platen 3. A magnet 7 moves with the feeler to produce the variable output of the generator 6.
