Abstract

1517201 Aerials IMS JOH MORAT UND SOHNE GmbH 19 June 1975 [24 June 1974 27 Nov 1974] 26187/75 Heading H4A A monopole comprises a tappering support of three sections screwed together in a friction fit, the conductor element 13 being connected between sections by metal contacts e.g. 12, 14 on the screw 9 and seating 10 portions of each section. The contacts may be formed by vapour deposition, electro-deposition, plating, foil attachment, preformed as a thin sheet metal moulding subsequently offered to synthetic resin injection moulding or formed by metal injection moulding. At least one of the screw threaded members (e.g. 3) must be of synthetic resin. In another embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) exclusion seals (27, 31) are provided between the sections, and between the aerial and its seating (not shown).
