Abstract

1515935 Translucent plastics tube R S WALDE 25 Feb 1977 [25 Nov 1975] 46549/75 Heading F2P [Also in Division F4] Tubing for use in solar heating systems comprises spaced inner and outer tubes 1, 2, at least part of the outer tube being translucent. As shown, the inner and outer tubes are flexible and spaced by webs 3. The inner tube is formed of black matt PVC which may be impregnated with conductive metallic dust, e.g. aluminium or copper, or may be reinforced with spirally wound conductive metal wire or ribbon. The outer tube is formed of translucent PVC. The tubing may be extruded. The outer tube may have a lens or series of lenses formed on its surface, Figs. 2, 3 (not shown).
