Abstract
1515926 Rinsing electro-plated articles WINTER PRODUCTS CO 12 Aug 1975 [6 Sept 1974] 33632/75 Heading C7B Electro-plated articles are passed in series through at least three rinsing tanks, the first of which is connected to a reverse osmosis unit from which concentrate is passed to a holding tank for subsequent return to the plating tank and permeate is passed to the second rinsing tank. A second reverse osmosis unit is connected to the third rinse tank, concentrate being fed to the second tank and permeate to a final tank of the rinsing series. A third reverse osmosis unit may be connected with the holding tank, concentrate being recycled to this tank and permeate fed to e.g. the second rinse tank. Articles may be strike plated in one compartment of a tank divided by a non-conducting partition having a through opening in it, followed by plating proper and then rinsing in the second compartment before rinsing as above.
