Abstract

1515325 Transfer printing KOBAYASHI KK 11 Aug 1975 [12 Aug 1974] 33427/75 Heading B6C A transfer apparatus comprises a printing means 1 for putting a pattern on a thin film 2, a film cutting apparatus 3 and means 42 for lowering the cut film into a bath 51 where an object is lowered on to the film to receive the pattern, which is transferred by means of liquid pressure. The film is removed in a film removing device. The printing means 1 has a plate cylinder 11 and inking roller 12 and the film 2 is moved by seizing means 31, run on conveyer 33. Suctions means 42 hold the cut film and lower it into bath 51 and then the bath 51 is transported to a submerging means which lowers the object into it. The film 2 is removed from the object by dissolving or by heating, cooling, and/or peeling in the film removing apparatus. A transparent cover may be applied to the transfer. Materials for the film 2 and the removing liquid are given. Microswitches control the speed of seizing means 31 by monitoring the tautness of film 2.
