Abstract
1515018 Removing nitrogen oxides and/or sulphur oxides from flue gases HITACHI Ltd 3 Sept 1975 [4 Sept 1974] 36353/75 Heading C1A NO x and/or SO x are removed from flue gases by contacting the gas with a catalyst comprising a carbonaceous material impregnated with (a) one at least of Cl 2 , Br 2 , I 2 , NH 4 Cl, NH 4 Br, NH 4 I, HCl, HBr and HI and (b) at least one metallic element or its oxide or salt, the element falling within group 1B, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A or 8 of the Periodic Table, in the presence of ammonia.
