Abstract

1514969 Shoots HOLLANDSCHE BETON GROEP NV 12 Nov 1975 [13 Nov 1974] 46775/75 Heading B8S Apparatus for guiding a flowable material such as a concrete mixture 11 from a level above water level 2 to a level below such, comprises a tube 1 in which a bag 4 is located, the latter being connected to a part of the tube wall and to a cover plate 6 so that a channel for the passage of the mixture 11 exists between the bag 4 and tube 1, the bag 4 containing water whose level 8 is above that of the level 2 so that when no material is being guided the bag 4 fills the entire cross section of the tube 1, as shown in Fig. 2 (not shown). In a second embodiment, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), a rigid gutter-shaped member (12) is joined at its edges to the edges of a rigid or flexible cap (14), a flexible sheet (16) which is connected between the edges of the member (12) and cap (14) forming with the cap (14) a space (17) for holding water while the space between the sheet (16) and member (12) provides a passage through which a mixture (18) can pass.
