Abstract

1514715 Trench shoring TRENCH JAK Ltd 21 Aug 1975 [2 July 1974] 29273/74 Heading E1E Trench shoring equipment comprises supports 1 for positioning spaced along the trench walls, and panels 6 to be held between spaced supports, each support having on or more channels 4 with a reduced width mouth, and the ends of the panels being slid longitudinally into respective channels and having retaining members 7 to prevent transverse removal of the panels. As shown, the members 7 are bars whose thickness combined with that of the panel is greater than the width of the channel mouth. The panels may be corrugated and have footholds 9 for workmen. A corner support for panels at right angles is also described.
